Episode At The Waters Of Sebus

Inspired by the events recorded in Alma 17, this painting portrays Ammon standing among the frightened servants of the king at the Waters of Sebus. With calm confidence born of divine protection, he prepares his sling to confront those who threaten and plunder the royal flocks. His clothing serves as a subtle reminder of an oft-overlooked truth: Ammon was himself a prince who relinquished his own kingdom to serve a people his own nation had largely rejected—the Lamanites.
